Job summary

Montgomery County Community College is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the development, administration, and maintenance of operating, capital, and auxiliary budgets. The role collaborates with the Director of Budgets to produce financial projections and long-range planning while maintaining systems that underpin the annual budget process.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA or Master’s preferred) and at least three years of relevant budget/analysis experience, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required).
• CPA or master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of budget development, financial analysis, and financial statement prep experience.
• Excellent administrative, oral and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Information Systems skills.
• Ability to act independently and align decisions with the college agenda.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, administration, and maintenance of operating, capital and auxiliary budgets.
• Develop financial projections and support long-range financial planning models.
• Maintain and improve a budget system for departmental users.
• Prepare internal and external reports, analyses, and forecasts for annual/interim budgets.
• Ensure processes support the annual budget cycle and related projections.
