Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) is seeking a Manager: Budget to provide oversight, leadership, and support to the Budget Office staff and to perform complex budget analysis and controls.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, at least five years in budget/accounting and three years in supervision. Occasional after-hours and travel within the county may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Five years of budget/accounting experience required; three years in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees budget office staff and provides leadership and support.
• Reviews expenditures and assigns to appropriate accounts.
• Plans, prepares and analyzes department budgets and justifies requests.
• Develops methods and procedures for budget formulation and management.
• Manages HR budget data in the system and ensures transfers are appropriate.
