Job summary

AECOM seeks a Transit Design Manager (BRT) to lead design efforts for Bus Rapid Transit projects from our East Coast offices. The role is hybrid with 2–3 days in the office and involves mentoring entry-level engineers and coordinating cross-discipline teams nationwide.

The successful candidate will oversee planning through final design, develop budgets, and support business development while applying local and national BRT/LRT standards. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering license is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team lead, project manager and/or discipline lead on planning, preliminary and final design of BRT projects.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline design teams and support business development.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
• Review multimodal street design and develop construction cost estimates.
• Contribute to PS&E package development and technical specifications.
