Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Design Manager (BRT) to lead the design of Bus Rapid Transit projects from planning through final design. The role includes coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and supporting business development.

Based on the East Region, the candidate should be able to work on a hybrid basis (2–3 days in an office). A PE license is preferred, and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years of relevant transportation design experience or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Microstation/Power InRoads or OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, preliminary, and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects.
• Supervise multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Develop construction cost estimates and PS&E packages.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and ensure work aligns with budget and schedule.
