Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Design Manager (BRT) to lead the design of Bus Rapid Transit projects within the US Mid-Atlantic region, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid work setup. The role focuses on delivering design through PS&E stages with strong client collaboration and budget awareness.

The successful candidate will oversee BRT design efforts, mentor engineers, and contribute to business development while working from East Coast offices on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or alternatives (MicroStation/ORD).
• Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit design experience.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead bus rapid transit project design teams and liaise with clients.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.
• Develop construction cost estimates and program budgets.
• Review design deliverables for quality and schedule adherence.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-discipline work.
