Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• Five years as a CL underwriter; excess & surplus lines experience preferred.
• Completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS, or ASLI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research market trends, competition and viability; develop partnerships with Actuarial, Finance and Claims.
• Review risks with brokers; decide to decline or accept; develop premiums and endorsements.
• Achieve production and loss ratio goals with brokers; monitor results by agency, state, and major class.
