Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking an in-office Financial Services Assistant in Richmond, VA at 919 East Main Street. You will support Financial Advisors with client servicing, investment research, and transactions, while handling scheduling, data entry in Salesforce, and appointment coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, FINRA SIE/Series 7/66 or ability to obtain within 365 days, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and related training.
• Experience in the securities industry and/or a sales assistant role.
• Knowledge of securities markets and brokerage accounts.
• Knowledge of annuity product features and attributes.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses; can obtain within 365 days.
• Excellent telephone skills for client interaction.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, managers and teammates.
• Ability to interpret detailed written and verbal information.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
• Experience in handling client trades and servicing.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Advisors in client servicing, preparing financial plans and research.
• Receive and place orders; respond to market queries and order features.
• Process corporate actions where licensed.
• Schedule and confirm client appointments; document meeting summaries.
• Manage the advisor’s calendar to maximize productivity.
• Identify sales opportunities based on leads and client attributes.
• Provide operational guidance to Advisors on systems and document fulfillment.
• Ensure new business paperwork is properly submitted and signed.
• Authenticate high-risk transactions and maintain client security.
• Maintain professional environment and handle operational requests.
• Coordinate reports review with Advisors, e.g., distributions and MTDs.
