Job summary

Truist is seeking a in-office Financial Advisor Support role in Fairfax, VA. The position focuses on servicing financial advisors, processing trades, managing client communications, and supporting daily operations.

Required are FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 licenses (or commitment to obtain within 365 days), a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication and time management skills. The base salary ranges from $58,000 to $75,000 with incentive pay potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and related training.
• Experience in the securities industry and/or a sales assistant role.
• Knowledge of securities markets and brokerage accounts.
• Knowledge of annuity product features.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses; must be obtained within 365 days of employment.
• Excellent telephone skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, managers and teammates.
• Ability to assimilate and use detailed written and verbal information.
• Ability to work in a self-directed fashion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Advisors in servicing clients, including preparing financial plans and completing client trades.
• Receive and place orders as directed and respond to market information questions.
• Process corporate actions requiring licenses when needed.
• Schedule and confirm client appointments; use SalesForce for data entry and notes.
• Manage the advisor's calendar to optimize productivity and travel time.
• Maximize sales opportunities by contacting potential investment clients based on leads.
• Provide operational guidance to Financial Advisors for systems navigation and document fulfillment.
• Ensure new business paperwork is submitted accurately and signatures obtained.
• Authenticate high-risk client transactions and perform necessary callbacks.
• Maintain a professional environment and positive impression.
• Submit and process operational requests such as distributions and account updates.
• Coordinate with Financial Advisor to review reports and address issues like insufficient funds.
• Assist with physical branch needs such as opening, closing, or maintenance requests.
