Job summary

Mediacom Communications in New York is hiring a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to install broadband and cable services at customer sites. You will drive a company van, perform installations, changes of service and assist customers with questions.

No experience required; a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are necessary. The role requires physical work, flexible hours, and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Willingness to work in varied environments and heights.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations complete from tap to antenna terminals.
• Perform new connects, reconnects and service changes as requested.
• Analyze picture quality and ensure proper signal delivery.
• Use CATV hand and power tools and read field signals.
• Drive company vehicle and maintain safety and paperwork.
