Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking an entry-level Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to perform customer home installations and service changes. You will operate a company vehicle and handle duties from wiring to outlet installation, with training and growth opportunities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and strong customer communication skills. Ability to work in various conditions and hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.

Qualifications

• General level of mechanical and consumer devices knowledge.
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Make customer drop installations (exterior and interior) from tap to antenna terminals in single and multi-unit dwellings.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, and changes of service; add outlets and equipment.
• Analyze picture quality and judge acceptability after installation of cable service.
• Drive company vehicles; perform proper vehicle upkeep and maintenance.
• Generate additional company revenue by informing customers about product options, sales campaigns and promotions.
• Read signal levels with field strength meter; install and adjust drop cables and tap-off devices.
• Climb poles and work in confined spaces; lift up to 100 lbs; use hand and power tools safely.
• Adhere to codes, guidelines, and company procedures to provide outstanding customer experience.
