Job summary

Cleburne ISD seeks a Special Education Teacher for the Bridges Program to deliver individualized instruction and support for students with diverse needs. You will develop or modify curricula, create lesson plans, and collaborate with ARD teams to set and monitor IEP goals.

The role involves implementing instructional strategies, coordinating with classroom staff and aides, and ensuring compliance with district policies while promoting student growth and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.
• Experience with ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting and implementation.
• One year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs and show written evidence of preparation.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting students' learning styles.
• Modify regular curricula with teachers and assist special education students in regular classes.
• Attend ARD Committee meetings regularly and conduct student assessments.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines and employ varied instructional methods.
• Supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology in the teaching/learning process.
