Job summary

Cleburne Independent School District seeks a SPED Bridges Aide to mentor and support BRIDGES students with behavioral needs at Wheat Middle School. This nonexempt paraeducator will assist teachers, implement CPI strategies, and maintain student data under supervision.

Responsibilities include behavior plans, crisis prevention, and classroom support to ensure safe, structured learning environments for special education students across the BRIDGES program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of 48 paraprofessional hours or equivalent required.
• Certification for autism, emotional disturbance, or behavior/mental health required.

Responsibilities

• Participate on campus team in implementing behavior intervention plans.
• Provide crisis prevention/intervention and verbal de-escalation when needed.
• Assist with implementing BRIDGES program behavior systems and classroom management.
• Escort students to BRIDGES program when behavior poses imminent risk.
• Monitor and document student behavior for progress and crises.
