Job summary

Cleburne ISD seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide learning activities for students with disabilities at the assigned campus. You will develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons aligned with IEP goals, working in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant settings.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements, plus at least one year of student teaching or internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Experience: at least one year student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs as required.
• Plan and use instruction reflecting diverse learning styles and needs.
• Modify regular curricula to support special education students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
