Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation seeks a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support Beaver County maintenance operations. You will perform skilled repair work on structures, facilities, and essential equipment, contributing to safe roads, bridges, and county facilities.

Typical duties include structural repair, equipment operation, facility maintenance, and concrete work, with a schedule Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building and plant maintenance with at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Structural repair: maintain and restore bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
• Equipment operation: use construction tools and machinery to complete tasks.
• Facility maintenance: repair and remodel county buildings and work areas.
• Mechanical work: minor repairs on equipment in field and shop settings.
• Concrete work: build formwork and place concrete to extend structure life.
• Technical judgment: determine appropriate methods and procedures for tasks.
