Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 in Beaver County to perform skilled repair work on structures, facilities, and equipment, supporting county maintenance operations and field services. The role involves repairing bridges, culverts, and related structures, operating tools and machinery, and performing general facility maintenance.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch; telework is not available.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Responsibilities

Structural repair: Maintain and restore bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
Equipment operation: Use construction tools and machinery to complete assigned tasks.
Facility maintenance: Perform repair and remodeling work for county buildings and work areas.
Mechanical work: Complete minor mechanical repairs on equipment in field and shop settings.
Concrete work: Build formwork and place concrete to extend the life of structures.
Technical judgment: Determine appropriate methods and procedures for assigned tasks.
