Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania invites applications for the Maintenance Repairman 2 role supporting Beaver County maintenance operations. You will perform skilled repair work on bridges, culverts, buildings and equipment, using tools and machinery in field and shop settings. Full-time schedule 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday; starting salary $41,506 with potential to $61,927 annually.

Valid PA Class C driver's license required. Location: Beaver County, PA.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years of experience in building and plant maintenance, with at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Description of Work

This position supports Beaver County maintenance operations by performing skilled repair work on structures, facilities, and essential equipment. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Structural Repair: Maintain and restore bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures
• Equipment Operation: Use construction tools and machinery to complete assigned tasks
• Facility Maintenance: Perform repair and remodeling work for county buildings and work areas
• Mechanical Work: Complete minor mechanical repairs on equipment in field and shop settings
• Concrete Work: Build formwork and place concrete to extend the life of structures
• Technical Judgment: Determine appropriate methods and procedures for assigned tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full‑time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
• Work schedule may vary seasonally, due to weather, and/or based on operational needs
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver\'s License.
