Qualifications

• Supervisory skills detailing team management and task assignment.
• Analytical and computer skills for data handling and reporting.
• Excellent communication with the public and subordinates.
• 10 yrs construction/structural road & bridge experience.
• Knowledge of county owned roads & bridges.
• Knowledgeable with herbicides, pesticides and landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable with winter road treatments.
• Familiarity with PennDOT sign manual and standards.
• Knowledge of PennDOT Manuals 203 & 408.
• Understanding of construction and maintenance procedures.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read architectural and design plans.

Responsibilities

• Performs roads and bridge maintenance.
• Schedule and complete maintenance tasks in a timely fashion.
• Operate equipment and basic carpentry/masonry tasks.
• Respond to emergency callouts and be available off hours/weekends.
• Drive county vehicles with CDL class A or B as required.
• Determine signs needed and gather necessary materials.
• Stay in contact with Crew Chief and Supervisor.
• Maintain safety and quality in all tasks.
• Snow/ice removal using plows as required.
