Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation seeks a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support Beaver County's transportation network. You will engage in hands-on repair work across bridges, culverts, structures, and facilities, using construction tools and equipment while ensuring safety and reliability.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance in two trades.
• Qualified applicants must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Structural Repair: Maintain and restore bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures
• Equipment Operation: Use construction tools and machinery to complete assigned tasks
• Facility Maintenance: Perform repair and remodeling work for county buildings and work areas
• Mechanical Work: Complete minor mechanical repairs on equipment in field and shop settings
• Concrete Work: Build formwork and place concrete to extend the life of structures
• Technical Judgment: Determine appropriate methods and procedures for assigned tasks
