Job summary

Morris County Government is seeking a Bridge Maintenance Worker to support the Bridge Division. The role involves maintaining 1,000 bridges and culverts across 39 municipalities within Morris County, performing routine tasks and using hand tools and power equipment as needed.

Applicants must have a Class B or A license, CDL, and be able to read and write English. Preference is given to candidates with public works experience and a valid license maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Preferred one year experience in Public Works/related construction work.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of 1000 bridges and culverts throughout 39 municipalities in Morris County.
• Routine tasks include brush cutting, rail painting, concrete forming, mixing and patching, salting bridge sidewalks, snow removal on sidewalks/roads, replacement of drainage pipes.
