The New Mexico Department of Transportation seeks a Highway Maintenance Worker (DOT/D6 #20573+) to operate medium to heavy equipment and perform bridge and road maintenance as part of the Bridge Crew. The role is housed in field conditions with potential reassignment to different districts during off season.

Applicants should have six months’ experience with road maintenance and equipment, a valid driver's license, and a Class B CDL within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience maintaining roads and operating medium to heavy equipment, including loaders and trucks.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a Class B CDL within one year of hire.
• Endorsements for Herbicide, Tanker and/or Hazmat may be required.

Responsabilités

• Operate medium to heavy-duty equipment to maintain bridges, highways and roadways.
• Perform carpentry, concrete and bridge maintenance work for public safety.
• Provide snow removal operations as needed and respond to emergencies.
