Job summary

WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Structural Engineer to join our New England Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team with offices in Boston and Worcester, MA. You will lead inspections, perform structural analyses, and mentor junior engineers in a balanced mix of field and office work.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in inspection, an engineering mindset, and a PE preferred. Relocation may be available; travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or related work.
• Engineer in Training Certification; PE preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles and applications.
• Strong interest in structures and transportation; leadership potential.
• Physically able for field work and variable schedules; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Lead Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary Inspections as Team Leader.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Assist with development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects.
• Mentor and train entry-level engineers.
• Support cost proposals and scope of work documents.
• Stay current with structural engineering techniques and practices.
• Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources.
