Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, with offices in Boston, MA; Worcester, MA; Glastonbury, CT; and Providence, RI. This role blends fieldwork with leadership, guiding engineers and coordinating inspections of bridges and tunnels.

You will develop load ratings, assist in plans, and mentor junior staff while growing your leadership capabilities within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design or other infrastructure related work.
• Engineer in Training Certification (PE Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work with our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on a variety of inspection related projects.
• Work as a Team Leader on Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary Inspections.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in the preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Assist with the development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
• Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Remain current in latest structural engineering techniques and practices.
