Job summary
WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Senior Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in Pennsylvania. This role blends field inspections with leadership duties, guiding junior engineers and delivering structural assessments for bridges, tunnels, and related infrastructure.
Qualified candidates have 5–10 years in inspection or related work, current NCBI and CBSI certifications, and a PE/EIT as applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
- Current NCBI certification (FHWA course or PennDOT equivalent).
- Current CBSI certification through PennDOT.
- 5–10 years of bridge/tunnel/inspections or related work.
- EIT certification or PE preferred.
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and design/build processes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with field experience.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
- Willingness to travel as projects require.
Responsibilities
- Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on various inspection projects.
- Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
- Assist in developingBridge & Tunnel load ratings and plans using AutoCAD.
- Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute multiple projects.
