Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Senior Structural Engineer to join its Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in Pennsylvania, with offices in Philadelphia, Exton, Ephrata, Mechanicsburg, and Lawrenceville. The role blends field and office work across multiple projects, demanding leadership and strong structural expertise.

You will guide junior engineers, support cost proposals, and stay current with latest engineering practices while performing inspections and design tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• NCBI certification through FHWA approved training (or PennDOT equivalent). Certification must be current.
• CBSI certification through PennDOT. Certification must be current.
• 5–10 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection/design or related work.
• Engineer in Training Certification (PE Preferred).
• Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and applicable design methods.
• Willingness to travel and perform field work including heights, night work, and adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Lead Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary Inspections as Team Leader.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in developing Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
