Job summary

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) seeks an experienced In-Service Bridge Inspection Manager to lead the statewide in-service bridge inspection program, supervise inspectors, manage data, and ensure FHWA standards compliance.

Reporting to the Bridge Operations Engineer, you will guide policy, QA/QC, and cross-functional teams, delivering reliable condition data for asset management and planning.

Qualifications

• PE licensure in Utah (reciprocity if out-of-state).
• Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience after PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-house and consultant inspection teams.
• Manage structures inventory and files; ensure data quality and policy compliance.
• Lead QA/QC reviews of inspection reports and coordinate with FHWA/GASB reporting.
