Job summary

LJA Transportation in Texas is seeking a Director to lead and grow the Bridge Inspection Program. You will guide a team of professionals, drive business development, and manage projects to deliver high‑quality, safe outcomes for public agencies.

You will set the tone for safety, mentor staff, and ensure technical excellence while expanding the program and collaborating with leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Texas P.E. license required.
• Qualified Bridge Inspection Team Lead in Texas is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical resource for bridge inspections.
• Establish, document, and implement bridge inspection procedures and quality control practices.
• Develop, train, and lead inspection staff.
• Support LJA’s bridge inspection practice.
• May serve as Project Manager for identified contracts and pursuits.
• Manage, schedule and perform bridge inspections.
• Prepare and review bridge inspection reports.
• Perform or check load ratings.
• Support in strategic plans and business plans implementation.
