Job summary

WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Senior Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, with CT office in Glastonbury, CT. The role focuses on leading inspection projects, performing structural engineering work, and mentoring junior staff.

The position requires 7–10 years of experience in bridge inspection, strong knowledge of engineering principles, and readiness for field work up to 50%. Travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of bridge, tunnel or related inspection or design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification (PE preferred).
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on projects.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in developing Bridge & Tunnel load ratings.
• Prepare plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on multiple projects.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Support project documentation and cost proposals.
• Stay current with engineering practices.
