Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our New England Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team. The role combines leadership with hands-on engineering, performing inspections of bridges, tunnels, and ancillary structures across multiple sites, including CT and RI offices, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or related work.
• PE license required.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and project applications.
• Ability to work in field and in office, with occasional travel.
• Proven leadership potential and ability to guide junior staff.
• Proficient in Office software and engineering tools; strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on a variety of inspection projects.
• Serve as Team Leader on Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary Inspections.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD with cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
• Support project documentation, cost proposals, and research.
