Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Associate Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join our New England Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team with offices in Boston and Worcester. You will contribute to inspection projects and support plan development for bridges and tunnels.

Candidates should have a structural/civil engineering degree and 1–3 years in related work. The role involves field work at times and requires a valid driver’s license, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or related inspection or design.
• Interest in structures, transportation, or related field and desire to advance skills.
• Able to perform field work including heights, night work, and adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection-related projects.
• Collaborate on Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary inspections as part of a team.
• Assist in preparing Bridge & Tunnel load ratings.
• Assist with developing plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to complete project tasks.
• Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Bridge and Transportation Engineering.
• Support project research, field work, and basic design calculations.
