Job summary

WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection, Structural Engineer to join the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, including Boston, Worcester, Glastonbury, and Providence offices. The role blends field and office work and offers opportunities to contribute to a variety of inspection projects.

You will support load ratings, develop sketches in AutoCAD, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while advancing your structural and transportation engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design or related work; Engineer in Training certification.
• Interest in structures or transportation and desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
• Physically capable of field work including heights, night work, and adverse weather; valid driver’s license.
• Position may be 50% field and 50% office.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on inspection projects.
• Contribute to Bridge, Tunnel & Ancillary inspections as a team member.
• Assist in preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Assist development of plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Support cross-functional teams to execute projects.
• Assist with project research, field work, preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Help prepare cost proposals and scope of work documents.
