Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Deputy Project Manager to support our Bridge Inspection Practice in the Washington DC metro area. This role provides oversight of evaluation activities for bridges, determining repair or replacement needs, and growing a strong team across multiple sites in the greater DC region.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering Licensure in MD, DC, and VA.
• 10+ years of bridge inspection experience and project management.
• Attendance of NHI Safety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges and related NHI courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for structural engineering across projects within the region.
• Review engineering designs, permits, and contracts to ensure regulatory compliance and quality.
• Lead large, complex bridge inspection projects including budgets, hours, and subcontractor oversight.
• Develop business for current and future bridge/ infrastructure work in the assigned geography.
• Mentor staff and supervise team members; drive QA/QC and safety compliance.
