At MKEC, we are dedicated to superior engineering solutions for clients' needs. We seek a Bridge Engineer, Project Manager to join our Transportation team in Wichita, in-office. You will assist with bridge design and related applications, while overseeing projects from scoping to final design and mentoring staff.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience; proficiency with Civil 3D/MicroStation and other design tools; Kansas PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in DOT, turnpike, municipal, and county projects.
• Experience in bridge design and/or roadway design; understanding of bridge hydraulics.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation (OpenRoads, InRoads, Geopak).
• Knowledge of MDX, LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge Designer, BRASS-CULVERT, LARSA, BAR7.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Kansas PE license preferred or obtainable quickly.
• Knowledge of local standards and strong organizational, presentation, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county, and municipal projects.
• Manage bridge projects from scoping to final design plans.
• Provide leadership and instruction to production staff.
• Develop and maintain client relations as main contact.
• Prepare proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
• Attend client meetings to ensure designs meet objectives.
