Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist who greets customers, guides fittings, and delivers expert tailoring to ensure a flawless gown for every event. You will work with stylists to assess fit, communicate options, and maintain the alterations room to the brand’s high standards.

This role emphasizes friendly service, problem solving, and precise sewing, steaming, and finishing of garments, while upholding Dress Code and store policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm and resolve questions with clear, concise information.
• Manage alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, and finishing to David’s Bridal standards.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain the alterations room and ensure first-quality standards for all garments.
• Resolve customer service issues promptly and communicate solutions to leadership as needed.
