David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards and deliver superior customer service. You will work as part of the store team under the Store Manager, bringing friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise to every guest.

The role emphasizes bridal alterations, problem-solving, and collaboration with stylists to enhance gown fit and customization while maintaining store standards and a courteous dress-code-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel store preferred.
• Prior sewing experience required, bridal/special occasion preferred.
• Prior experience with computerized POS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over phone, chats and in person, solving problems and adapting communication style.
• Manage customer flow to deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels with preparedness, welcoming attitude, meeting needs, and being present for customers.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers and contribute to five-star service storewide.
• Address customer concerns confidently and know when to escalate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations enhance the dress and promote alteration services and customization.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards for a flawless shopping experience.
• Ensure adherence to Dress Code Policy.
• Greet and escort alterations customers to appointments.
• Inspect garments after alterations for pristine condition before delivery.
• Respond promptly with product and service information.
• Build long-term relationships with customers to boost satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage inventory and fulfill special orders while ensuring quality standards.
• Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards.
• Handle all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning.
• Resolve customer issues per company guidelines.
• Support cash wrap and process transactions accurately.
• Keep alterations room clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
