Job description

We are currently hiring a Brewery Representative in Phoenix, AZ. The territory covers Downtown Phoenix and the West Valley. The ideal candidate must live in Downtown Phoenix.

*Please note that while this position is listed as “working remotely,” our sales positions are field-based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The Brewery Representative works autonomously to develop new accounts and maintain current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.

What You'll Brew:
  • Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenience stores)
  • Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products, and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility
  • Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
  • Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
  • Work conditions vary greatly day to day due to the customer-facing nature of the role
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays periodically to support business needs
  • Occasional travel for meetings and training
  • Regular travel within the market to service retailers and wholesalers
What Ingredients You’ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts consistently
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale materials frequently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree

Level: 8

In accordance with pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role if hired is $47,000 – $62,000 annually, based on location and experience level. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for a car allowance.
