Job Description

We are currently hiring a Brewery Representative in Washington DC. The ideal candidate must live in Washington DC.

Please note that while this position is listed as “working remotely,” our sales positions are field-based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Role Responsibilities

• Focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry.
• Increase product availability and visibility in new and existing accounts using consultative sales tactics.
• Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio.
• Focus on selling products and upgrading product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores, convenience stores).
• Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop plans to establish business with them.
• Improve account conditions and merchandise by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items.
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing.
• Conduct education sessions for waitstaff/bartenders, beer tastings, and evening promotions.
• Work conditions vary and may include working weekends and holidays, with occasional travel for meetings and training.
• Travel regularly within the market to service retailers and wholesalers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of results-oriented experience in outside sales or food & beverage industry.
• Assertive, confident personality with a competitive spirit.
• Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, ability to drive frequently.
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer regularly.
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to display point-of-sale materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.

Additional Details

Level: 8

Salary range: $47,000 – $71,000 annually, based on location and experience. Includes potential bonuses and car allowance.
