Job Description

We are currently hiring a Brewery Representative in NY Metro. The ideal candidate must live in Manhattan (this is a non-negotiable).

Note: While this position is listed as “working remotely”, our sales positions are field-based and require you to live within the territory to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The Brewery Representative works autonomously to develop new accounts and maintain current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing product availability and visibility in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.

What You'll Brew:

• Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
• Focus on selling products and upgrading product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery/convenience stores)
• Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop plans to establish business with them
• Improve account conditions and merchandise by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business grows
• Conduct staff education, beer tastings, and promotions
• Work varies day to day due to customer-facing nature
• May require working weekends and holidays
• Occasional travel for meetings and training
• Regular travel within the market to service retailers and wholesalers

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of proven results in outside sales or food & beverage industry
• Competitive spirit with an assertive personality
• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, ability to drive to accounts
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop for displays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

Compensation:

Salary range: $47,000 – $78,000 annually, based on location and experience. Includes potential bonuses and car allowance.
