Job summary

Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties is seeking a part-time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to support pregnant and breastfeeding clients in the WIC program. The role focuses on providing basic breastfeeding information, encouragement, and ongoing support as families begin and continue breastfeeding.

Candidates should have personal breastfeeding experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to attend required trainings.

Qualifications

• Personal breastfeeding experience is required.
• Current or former WIC client preferred.
• Ability to attend state-required training sessions and conferences.
• High school diploma.
• Valid Michigan driver's license.
