Job summary

Hawaii Pacific Health's Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu is seeking a Part-Time Peer Counselor, Breastfeeding for the WIC program. You will provide basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers within WIC.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, direct breastfeeding experience, and completion of breastfeeding training within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School or equivalent.
• Direct breastfeeding experience with at least one infant.
• Must attend breastfeeding training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Peer Counselor, Breastfeeding position for the WIC program will provide basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to the assigned pregnant and/or breastfeeding mother population within the WIC program.
