Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions. You will follow recipe cards, start items ahead of time, and keep perishables properly rotated and stored.

Responsibilities include ensuring buffet stock, managing par levels, and assisting in cost control and waste reduction. You will operate and clean kitchen equipment and adhere to shift attendance; additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Able to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs continuously.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and manage portioning to avoid over-preparation.
• Rotate perishables and keep temperatures correct per standards.
• Check pars for shift use; assist in keeping buffet stocked and stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with cover and date.
• Assist in plans to control food costs and waste; maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Operate and clean all listed kitchen equipment; adhere to attendance and shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
