Responsibilities

• Provide on-site break/fix support for HP PC Products customers (laptops, desktops, printers).
• Diagnose and repair printer and related hardware using logical troubleshooting steps.
• Configure hardware, software, and simple network components to restore service.
• Manage multiple service events, prioritize tasks, and maintain admin records.
• Support escalation processes and contribute to technical action plans.

Our client, a technology services organization supporting HP PC Products customers, is seeking a Break Fix Printer Technician to join their team. As a Break Fix Printer Technician, you will be part of the field service organization supporting customer sites across the Monterey, CA area. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot printer hardware logically and systematically, and the confidence to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams under fast-paced, changing conditions.

Pay Range: $30 - $35

What's the Job?

• Provide customer-facing, on-site break/fix support for HP PC Products customers, including laptop, desktop, RPOS, workstation, and printer-related issues.

• Diagnose and repair printer and related hardware problems using logical, step-by-step troubleshooting methods, including potential involvement with third-party software, networks, and switches.

• Configure hardware, software, and simple network components as needed to restore service and meet contractual commitments.

• Manage multiple service events by prioritizing tasks, balancing urgent customer needs, and staying organized with administrative responsibilities.

• Support escalation processes and assist in technical action plans to remediate PC/print issues while maintaining a business-focused mindset.

What's Needed?

• Onsite, customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), especially in person at customer sites.

• Technical/mechanical hardware repair experience with demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and alignment apparatus.

• Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift, and move up to 50 pounds.

• Availability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including non-traditional workdays, holidays, and shift work.
