Job summary

Macy's in New York is seeking an Ambassador who drives sales by connecting with customers and sharing vendor product knowledge to upsell and build a repeat clientele. You will work with personal stylists and store leadership, coordinate vendor events, and maintain a welcoming, energetic environment through exceptional service.

Role requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with full-time hours and a commitment to teamwork and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail experience or selling experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with computers and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer experience with customer priority.
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell.
• Serve as a liaison between vendors, stylists and store leadership.
• Keep sales floor neat, signed for sales and markdowns.
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales and gross margin.
• Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing.
• Lead vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales.
• Plan and lead customer-facing vendor events with vendor partners.
• Be proficient in Macy's POS systems and devices to wrap up sales.
