Job summary

Macy’s is hiring an Ambassador to drive sales by connecting with customers, sharing vendor product knowledge, and upselling. You will cultivate repeat clientele and act as the expert for the vendor/brand you represent, while collaborating with leadership and vendors on merchandising initiatives.

Full-time schedules can exceed 30 hours per week with varying shifts; benefits include health coverage, 401(k) match, paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year previous selling or retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell.
• Serve as a liaison between designated vendors, personal stylists, and store leadership.
• Ensure sales floor is neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns.
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turn, and gross margin above company average.
• Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing.
• Execute vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales.
• Actively plan and lead customer facing vendor sponsored events to meet goals.
• Be proficient in Macy’s point of sale systems and company devices to wrap up sales.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues, customers, and communities
