Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Branch Sales Associate in Santa Fe Springs, CA to connect with walk-in customers using product knowledge and a winning attitude while performing warehouse tasks. You will maximize sales opportunities and report to the Branch Manager.

You will manage the customer experience, select products, enter orders, pick and load, prepare backorders, stock, merchandise, count inventory, and navigate various computer systems. Safety PPE compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safe picking, and loading the customer vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders/shipping product.
• Prepare backorders and stock put-away for received items.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and navigate multiple computer systems.
• Maintain branch appearance and comply with safety guidelines including PPE.
