You will provide excellent customer service, process orders, and learn multiple computer systems. The role requires flexibility within branch hours and adherence to safety guidelines, with potential growth within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and loading the customer’s vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style for email, phone, or in person with different audiences.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders/shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away stock received.
• Help with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards.
• Agree to safety guidelines and comply with all process standards including wearing PPE.
