Job summary

QXO is offering a 12-week Summer Internship Program embedded across branch locations in the United States, including Roofing, Lumber and Building Materials, and Insulation & Installation. Interns will work closely with local leaders to learn day-to-day operations, sales, and customer service while tackling real business opportunities.

Participants gain hands-on experience, defined objectives, mentorship, and a final project with presentation to leaders, building professional skills and industry

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Academic focus relevant to the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work full-time for the 12-week program.
• Comfortable engaging with branch team members, leaders, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful projects and day-to-day business priorities within the assigned branch.
• Gain hands-on exposure to branch operations, including sales, customer service, inventory, logistics, and other core activities.
• Work with leaders and teams to understand customers, products, markets and priorities.
• Take ownership of assigned work and use data to solve problems and improve processes.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional activities linking branch ops to the broader business.
• Support initiatives focusing on sales growth, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
• Build relationships with interns, mentors, leaders, and colleagues while developing business and leadership skills.
• Seek feedback to strengthen performance.
• Complete a final internship project and present insights to QXO leaders.
