Job summary

QXO offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program designed to provide structured development and hands-on exposure to a fast-paced organization. Interns work across Roofing, Lumber, Building Materials, and Insulation & Installation, learning day-to-day operations and contributing to meaningful business projects.

Interns will receive mentorship, Objectives, feedback, and a final project presentation to leaders, with opportunities to build professional skills and explore future roles at QXO.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's from an accredited college or university
• Anticipated graduation date aligned with internship timing
• Strong written and verbal communication with team members, leaders, customers and stakeholders
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Interest in gaining hands-on business experience and exploring future opportunities at QXO
• Ability to work full-time for the duration of the 12-week program
• Comfort engaging with branch teams and customers on-site at assigned locations

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful projects and day-to-day business priorities within your assigned branch.
• Gain hands-on exposure to branch operations, including sales, customer service, inventory, logistics, and other core activities.
• Work alongside QXO leaders to understand customers, products, markets, and priorities.
• Take ownership of assigned work and use data to solve problems, improve processes, and support branch performance.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional activities to see how operations connect to the broader business.
• Support initiatives focused on sales growth, customer engagement, operational efficiency, inventory management, and process improvement.
• Build relationships with interns, mentors, leaders, and colleagues while developing business, communication, and leadership skills.
• Seek and apply feedback to strengthen performance and capabilities.
• Complete a final internship project and present insights to QXO leaders
