Job summary

Pelican Credit Union is seeking a Branch Supervisor to support daily branch operations, supervise front-line staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive branch performance. The role focuses on audits, member service, loan operations, and leadership in the Branch Manager's absence.

Based at our Hammond branch, you will coach staff, balance cash, promote sales and service culture, and engage with the community to grow relationships.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a financial institution with teller/ call center duties and 1 year loan processing.
• Strong sales background and ability to obtain required insurance licenses.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
• Thorough knowledge of branch procedures, policies, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash audits and cash loading under dual control.
• Balance cash, monitor cash orders and shipments.
• Coach staff, set expectations, track performance, and meet member needs.
• Support branch business development through community engagement and relationship building.
• Perform duties of all branch employees when needed (loans, accounts).
• Provide guidance and training for new employees.
