Job summary

Seattle Credit Union in the Greater Seattle area seeks a Branch Assistant Manager to oversee daily branch operations, optimize member flow, and lead a team to deliver exceptional service. This role emphasizes accountability, risk considerations, and collaborative problem-solving across departments.

You will develop staff, achieve sales/service goals, and participate in hiring under the Branch Manager's guidance, while maintaining SCU values and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in a high-transaction, retail banking environment.
• 1+ year of team leadership or coaching experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal banking regulations (Reg. B/E/D/CC/Z, BSA).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software.

Responsibilities

• Back-up branch manager duties and ownership of branch operations.
• Maintain branch audits and daily task execution with accurate results.
• Manage lobby flow and provide staff with clear task direction.
• Ensure member needs are met and cross-sell products appropriately.
• Escalate complex service situations and meet sales/service goals.
• Mentor and train branch employees and support staffing needs.
• Act as acting Branch Manager in absence of supervisor.
• Contribute to overall SCU values and attendance standards.
