Job summary

TAL Building Centers is seeking a Branch Manager to assist in achieving sales and profit goals while ensuring outstanding customer service. The role involves supervising staff, scheduling coverage, and supporting store operations in the manager's absence.

The position focuses on driving merchandising, inventory control, and cost management while fostering a safe, productive work environment. Prior retail management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leads and develops branch staff to achieve sales and service targets.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrates proactive learning and adaptability in a retail environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel).
• Previous managerial experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the branch manager in achieving company objectives, including sales and profit goals.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and a highly motivated staff.
• Schedule personnel to maintain high service levels and coverage.
• Support branch operations in manager's absence and contribute to budgets.
• Assist with branch sales, marketing and merchandising programs.
• Monitor invoices, margins, and accounts payable when assigned.
• Participate in inventory control and expense management.
